Democratic Representatives getting death threats?!
So, a bunch of Democrats in favor of the newly passed Healthcare reform bill have been receiving death threats from individuals who are in major favor against the new legislation. Well, damn! Crazy how people can feel so strongly in opposition of something that will actually help people. Calmate, all you conservatives!

2 Mexican students slain in a Mexican Army and gang member shoot-out
Two Mexican-American students were slain in a shoot-out between the Mexican army and gang members who were seeking refuge on the students' university campus.
See, stories like these are incredibly sad. You wanna know why? Well these guys, first of all, were extreeemely hard working. Like, studying-until-midnight-every-night kinda thing. Second, they were both on scholarships and were about to graduate. Third, and this I think is the saddest of all three reasons, they devoted their lives to avoiding the drug war battles.
Not only did these guys earned their lives and their futures, but they deserved it. Lives that were savagely and BRUTALLY taken away from them in the midst of their success. It's incredibly devastating, and I send my best wishes out there to everyone affected by this.

In Health Care Bill, Obama Attacks Wealth Inequality
You must've been hiding under a rock if you hadn't noticed the huuuuuge gap in the classes of American society. Well with the health care bill, Obama's directly attacking this issue. By 2013, families making over $1million will be taxed up to $46,000 and Medicaid subsidies will be applicable to those without insurance and make $80,000 or less.
Although this may seem like a good thing (well, more like an extremely bad thing for you conservatives out there), many of our problems are yet to be solved. Hold on to your senses still! The health care reform bill isn't going to solve everything, not yet at least. Because of the wars, huge deficits, the Great Recession, the slowing of education and Global Warming, we're not getting there yet, but maybe slooooowly.

Boehner on Twitter, though.
Recently, a false twitter account for Republican Party Leader had been created. The twitter featured SEVERAL fake tweets concerning Health Care and the Party Leader's apparent opposing views on the issue. The site looks mad official, so I was slightly taken aback when I read the first few tweets. However, as I continued reading, it was obviously fake. The false account can be seen here.
Some tweets are ridiculously offensive. Some crazy liberal guy probably came up with it (secret, under the table dap).
But just to be fair, here's his real twitter.

"We need to defeat these bastards." - Rush Limbaugh referring to the Health Care bill
OooooOOooo, Republicans are furious over this health care bill! Soooo scared.
Randy Neugebauer yelled out "baby-killer" during Rep. Bart Stupak's speech in the health care bill debate, but apologized after. OH WAIT, he then came out with a Public Service Announcement that said that he's "proud" of what he said and will make sure he'll be "heard" again. Really, Neugebauer? So you're gonna apologize and then be proud of it on video? Gahd, I saw it on the news, but I wish I can find the video online...
Ah, another form of maturity from the Republicans... C'mon, son. Stop yelling atrocities during debates among grown men and women! OH and stop trashing Democratic party members' houses because they voted for the health care bill. I understand that you're mad about the government PROVIDING PEOPLE THE RIGHT TO BE HEALTHY, but you don't need to take it this far... Sigh.
It's not like we're trying to keep the rich richer and the poor poorer or anything, never that... Unlike you guys. I'm just sayin'. I should end this with a "God Bless America" just to keep the peace so...
God frikkin' bless America and keep us level-headed. Deuces.

Court Rules That Mississippi School Violated First Amendment Rights Of Lesbian Student
One of the more popular political issues that concern us today involve Gay rights. The case of Constance not being able to take her girlfriend to prom has attracted staggering attention to her issue, and the outcome of it is quite satisfying.
The court ruled that Mississippi violated Constance's first amendment rights. Yeah, that's right Mississippi, you DID violate her motha' effin' rights! For the whole article, click here.

Youth In Politics by Alyssa Cortez
A documentary that I made as an assignment for Creative Writing but has more to do with my understanding of politics and political involvement in the youth. I made up most of the questions along the way and is directed as more of like a documented discussion than anything. Enjoy:

How Laws Are Made by Kids In The House

Suprisingly enough, I didn't know most of the stuff on here. Goes to show what I learned in elementary school. Haha. For the sugar watered-down, no extra b.s. edition, click here. LOL, thanks Kids In The House!
Oh, Mike Pence - "This Is Not The President's House, This Is Not The Democrats' House, This Is The People's House"
Sorry to the Republicans that are upset by Obama's change of view on the abortion part of the Health Care bill but... oh well. LOL. Food for thought.
Health Care for all, anyone? :D
Was anyone else watching the Health Care debate on Sunday in suspense besides me and my dad? Haha. One of the most interesting debates. I didn't know that grown men and women (ahem, Republicans) were so good at booing. Well, besides the fact that Mike Pence went into his gibberish-like tangent again (reference from last year here) by making Biblical references as part of his speech, it was quite riveting. It made me a little emotional, more frustrated than anything, at the Republican party but the results were quite satisfying, I must say(: Who isn't happy that you can now stay on your parents' insurance plan until you're 26? UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE, what whaaaat? Obama's going in the right direction, can't deny it now, suckas.
